Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has reacted to reports of summer transfer interest coming his way from Arsenal, with a declaration that an exit from King Power Stadium is not on his mind.

Rather than jump at the prospects of joining fellow Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi at Emirates Stadium in a big money move, the former Racing Genk of Belgium youngster stressed that he is not thinking of leaving The Foxes for now.

Ndidi stressed at the weekend that he is happy with Leicester and insisted that he has not in any way thought about leaving the club in this summer’s transfer window.

The 21-year-old box-to-box battler has established himself among the best defensive midfielders in the English Premier League since his £15m move to King Power Stadium from Genk in January 2017 and won more tackles than anyone in the division last season.

A number of clubs in England are believed to be interested in signing Ndidi, but Leicester are said to be preparing to offer the midfielder a new contract.

Last season, he was rated with more tackles than any other player in the league and was linked with Liverpool in January, before reports this summer of interest from Arsenal surfaced.

His 15 tackles were the most of any player in the Russia 2018 World Cup group stage, while he is still joint-second in the overall list, despite Nigeria being knocked out after just three games.

Ndidi, who made 38 appearances for The Foxes last season and featured in all of Nigeria’s matches in Russia, stressed: “A transfer has never been on my mind “I feel very good at Leicester.”
