Residents of Warri, Delta State, had a filled day watching a middle-aged man, known as Tenimu a.k.a Agwa receive the beating of his life after he was caught pants down allegedly defiling a 7-year-old girl.

It was gathered that some youth from Odion community, where the incident happened, descended on the suspect after he had admitted to the crime.

The youth, wary of reporting the matter to the police, allegedly supervised a corporal punishment preferred on the suspect. They tied him to a stake and gave him the beating of his life.

The suspect was described as an ex-convict who has always been in and out of prison. He allegedly lured the victim to a hideout and had a carnal knowledge of her.
