President Buhari has ordered the immediate dismissal of a former chairman of presidential task force on pension reforms, Abdulahi Abdulrasheed Maina, with immediate effect. He has also asked Head of Service to submit a full report of the circumstances of Mr Maina’s recall & posting to the Interior Ministry.

This was contained in a statement released by the presidency and signed the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Mr Femi Adesina a few hours ago.

There has been controversy over the recent recall of Maina and his appointment as the head a directorate in the Interior ministry. Recall that Maina had been a fugitive after he was accused of complicity in the over N 2 billion Pensions Biometric Scam in the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
