Contrary to news circulating that the People’s Democratic Party Gubernatorial candidate in Plateau State, and the senator representing Plateau South, Jeremiah Useni has picked Hon. Benedict Shignuhul as his running mate, Daily Trust gathered that Useni had settled for Dr. James Dalok from Mangu instead.
Our correspondent reports that a story by News Agency of Nigeria had quoted Yakubu Chocho, the party’s organizing secretary as saying Shignuhul was picked by the party and Useni after careful consideration.
However, Media aide to Useni, Abubakar Ateeku told Daily Trust that the report was false and that the State Working Committee of the PDP had forwarded three names to the governorship candidate in which Useni had settled for Dalok.
A copy of the letter sent to Useni as verified by Daily Trust has three names including Dalok, Shignuhul and Hon. Moses Tongsan.
Dalok who hails from Mangu local government area of the state is 52 years and has a PhD in accounting and over 31 years working experience.
He has also served as a former Head of Revenue, Ikeja Area Office of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and was until his appointment, the Deputy Director Finance At the Consolidated Research and Allied Institutions Salary Structure (CONRAISS).
