In a bid to properly make sense of the pomp and pageantry exhibited in the reception of popular musician, David Adeleke, A.K.A, Davido, to the orientation camp for the swearing-in ceremony Thursday, Comedian, Ayo Makun thinks that the name National Youth Service Corps should be changed to Davido Youth Service Corps.
He said that in the history of the national service, no member of the corps has been ushered into the orientation camp with a funfair and greeted with such spectacle. He also added that judging by that fact, he is forced to wonder between the nation and Davido, who is actually serving the other.
However, AY advised fans of Davido who may have been nursing the thought of dropping out from school and strive towards becoming a crooner like him, to also emulate him in every way, in that he didn’t just graduate from higher institution, but is also serving his father land.
In another development, one of the many corps members at the Iyana-Ipaja orientation camp, Lagos, who is also a fan of Davido has been blessed with Davido’s monthly allowance.
Davido who obviously didn’t have any need for the 20,800 being paid to corps members by the Federal Government, in a viral video with Brodda Shaggi was heard saying that his allowance has been sent to an unknown fan.
At the swearing-in ceremony, corps members were seen stepping on one another just to catch a glimpse of the Assurance crooner and possibly take a photo of him.
