The All Progressive Congress (APC) on Wednesday postponed its governorship primary which was scheduled to take place in Osogbo, the state capital on Thursday.
The primary will now take place on Friday, July 20, while a meeting between the Primary Election Committee chaired by the Governor of Zamfara State and stakeholders of the party will take place on Thursday.
Confirming the postponement, the chairman of the APC in the state, Gboyega Famoodun, the move was “due to unforeseen developments”.
Seventeen aspirants have been cleared by the national leadership of the party to participate in the governorship primary.
