Parishioners of St. Mary’s Parish Ada-Obollo and St. Patrick’s Parish Ibenda both in Enugu State, have been thrown into pandemonium following the recent assault on their parish priests by some masquerades from Ogbodu-Aba, Enugu State.

Rev. Fr. Daniel Tochukwu Akubue and Rev. Fr. Peter Chikwado Udaya, were said to have received the beating of their lives on 12th of July, such that Udaye may never again see properly with one of his eyes.

Although, what triggered the assault is yet to be deciphered, reports say that Udaya’s eye was affected and has already gone through surgery but the situation is still bad.

Fr. Daniel is however still receiving treatment as at the time of filing in this report.
