President Buhari has declared that Boko haram now finds it difficult to recruit new members due to the success of the government’s anti-terrorism efforts.

The president made the statement yesterday, during a security meeting. The statement was also tweeted on the presidency’s account.

According to Buhari, “part of our success story in the Northeast is that Boko Haram is finding it more difficult to recruit people. The Nigerian Army is intensifying its onslaught; I am confident that we will soon achieve our goal of dismembering the group and rendering it completely powerless.”
