A schoolboy went on a classroom rampage in which he pepper-sprayed more than 20 students, it is reported.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after he stormed into the school in Hamburg, Germany, this afternoon.

Twenty-one pupils were injured in the attack, local police said.

Three of the students were rushed to hospital with breathing problems, while another 15 are said to be suffering from irritation.

Several fire engines were pictured outside the Matthias-Claudius school this afternoon along with ambulances as injured pupils were treated.
