The Aiteo/Federations cup has entered the semi-finals stage and the excitement continues for Nigeria’s oldest professional football competition. Last Weekend, the first leg of the semi-final matches were held while the second leg we be held this week.
Tornadoes got up to a good start as they overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat IfeanyiUbah FC 4-2. The second leg will take place on October 4.
Godwin Obaje gave IfeanyiUbah the lead on eight minutes before King Osanga doubled their advantage on 52 minutes.
On 61 minutes, Sani Mohammed pulled a goal back for Tornadoes to make it 2-1.
Just two minutes later Ibrahim Babawo scored to make it 2-2.
Tornadoes went in front in the 72nd minute through Mohammed for his second of the game.
The match date for the epic semi-final clash between Sunshine Stars and Akwa United has been moved forward to October 8, in Uyo. Akwa Ibom State.
Sunshine Stars won the first leg 1-0 in Ijebu Ode on Sunday. The only goal of the match came from Jibola Otegbeye.
