Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State continues to throw jabs at his detractors as he vows to push forward in his bid to becoming the President of Nigeria.

Following the public declaration of his intention to run for the presidency in the 2019 elections in Abuja yesterday, the EFCC arrested 2 of Fayose’s close aides; The Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance and the Accountant General.

According to a top EFCC official who confirmed the incident to journalists, “They were picked up following their refusal to honour previous invitations for interrogation in relation to pending investigation on the misuse of bail out funds by the Ayodele Fayose administration´

This is seen by many as an attempt by the Federal government to intimidate Fayose, who is one of the loudest critics of Buhari’s government.

In his latest tirade against his enemies, which he posted on his twitter page, the governor declares: “If you think I am not an Issue, Why don’t you Ignore me?”

“They think they can use @officialEFCC to intimidate us, we are waiting. But tell the Villa hawks that last year, they used DSS, it failed.”

Speaking on his determination to become president, Fayose said “Those who gave reasons @realDonaldTrump won’t be POTUS know better now. I want to be President of Nigeria, that’s what I will be”

On the reason why he declared to contest, Fayose said he is a supporter of competence ad capacity, and that the country needs young and able leaders that can take the country out of ‘this present state of hopelessness.’
