It is becoming a common sight to see Real Madrid superstar, Christiano Ronaldo win trophies and awards. Last night in London, he received the FIFA best award for the best player in the world, an addition to his long trail of laurels, as he continues a three-year spell of amazing achievements.

At the FIFA best awards, hosted by British film star, Idris Elba, the FIFA top 11 were unveiled.

  • The Best FIFA Men’s Player: Cristiano Ronaldo(Real Madrid, Portugal))
  • The Best FIFA Women’s Player: Lieke Martens(FC Barcelona, Netherlands))
  • The Best FIFA Men’s Coach: Zinedine Zidane(Real Madrid)
  • The Best FIFA Women’s Coach: Sarina Wiegman(Netherlands)
  • The Best FIFA Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon(Juventus, Italy)

  • Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon
  • Defenders: Dani Alves, Leonardo Bonucci, Marcelo, Sergio Ramos
  • Midfielders: Andres Iniesta, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric
  • Strikers: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar
  • FIFA Puskás Award: Olivier Giroud
    With 36.17% of the 792,062 votes, Olivier Giroud’s incredible scorpion kick for Arsenal against Crystal Palace was chosen as the best goal of the season.
  • FIFA Fan Award: Celtic Supporters
    The Celtic fans received 55.92% of votes and were commended for the stunning 360-degree card displayed around Celtic Park during the final match of the Scottish League season, paying homage to the 50th anniversary of the club’s European Cup title of 1967.
