The winners of the 2025 edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards will be revealed on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, during a ceremony in Doha, Qatar, according to FIFA.

The event will be streamed live on FIFA.com from 20:00 local time (18:00 CET).

A statement shared on Monday via FIFA’s X account noted that the ceremony will be held on the eve of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025 final between Paris Saint-Germain and CR Flamengo at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.

“The world’s top players and coaches will be honoured during the FIFA Celebration 2025 Dinner at the Fairmont Katara Hall in Doha.

“Ahead of the gala, several awards, including those for fans, goalkeepers, and goals, will be revealed through digital videos on FIFA platforms and across social media. The winner of the FIFA Fair Play Award will also be announced,” FIFA said.

The ceremony is expected to attract around 800 attendees, including the FIFA President, members of the FIFA Council, FIFA Legends, officials from Member Associations worldwide, as well as local and regional football ambassadors.

Fans played a decisive role in determining the winners, casting more than 16 million votes across various categories. Major honours such as The Best FIFA Women’s Player, The Best FIFA Men’s Player, The Best FIFA Women’s Coach, The Best FIFA Men’s Coach, The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper, and The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper were decided through a voting system equally weighted between fans, national team captains and coaches, and media representatives.

Supporters also voted for The Best FIFA Women’s 11 and The Best FIFA Men’s 11. Voting for the FIFA Marta Award and the FIFA Puskás Award, which celebrate the best goals in women’s and men’s football respectively, was shared equally between fans and a panel of FIFA Legends. The FIFA Fan Award was determined solely by fans, while the FIFA Fair Play Award was selected by an expert panel.

Football fans across the globe will be able to watch the entire awards ceremony live and free on FIFA.com.

Paris Saint-Germain emerge as the most represented club, with Ousmane Dembélé shortlisted alongside teammates Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, and Vitinha.

The women’s prize will be chosen from a broader list of 17 nominees, including Aitana Bonmatí of Barcelona, who claimed the Ballon d’Or three months ago and is widely regarded as a strong contender to triumph again in Qatar. She is one of five Barcelona players nominated for the award.
