Nigerian musician, entrepreneur and television personality, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, known by his stage name D’banj, has made his first movie appearance in a Nollywood film.

D’Banj debuts in Jade Osiberu‘s “Sugar Rush” set for release this Christmas! The music star is also the executive producer of the project.

Jadesola Osiberu announced that she’s lined up Adesua Etomi, Bisola Aiyeola, Omoni Oboli, D’Banj, Toke Makinwa, Tobi Bakare, Nkem Owoh, Adedimeji Lateek, Zack Orji and Bimbo Ademoye in the movie.

She wrote,

I’ve been working on a slate of films since 2017 and I’m finally glad to be able to announce the first film from the slate. Our plan at Greoh is to continue to collaborate with filmmakers, investors, distributors and anyone passionate about growing the Industry and telling exciting, compelling and authentic stories about Africans.

We’re already cooking up 3 films to be shot in 2020, so we can’t wait to end 2019 with a bang!

Sugar Rush is a coproduction amongst Greoh Media, FilmOne, DKM Media and Jungle Filmworks.
Thanks to my co – Executive Producers @iambangalee @mosesbabatope @_iamkene and Seyi Siwoku for making it happen.

Currently working on another film, Nigerian Trade, Jadesola Osiberu previously produced the 2017 rom-com, Isoken, as well as the TV shows, Rumour Has It and Gidi Up. With those hits, Osiberu’s Christmas blockbuster looks to be a worthy rival to whatever EbonyLife rolls out.
