Meng Hongwei, former Chinese Vice Minister of Public Security, will face trial in northern port city of Tianjin after the National Supervisory Commission (NSC) concluded an investigation on him, the country’s top prosecutor said on its website on Friday.

Meng took large sum of bribes and secured benefits for others when at the posts of vice minister of public security and head of Marine Police Corps, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate said.
