Police in Taraba state have arrested 16 kidnappers, rapists and cattle rustlers.

The state police commissioner, Alkasim Sanusi, while parading the suspects said they were arrested at different locations in the state.

He also revealed that 50 cows rustled in some villages in Lau local government area of the state were recovered

According to him, the rustled cows were recovered in Cham town along Yola – Gombe road in the state.

Sanusi further stated that the arrests of the suspects followed intensive investigation into the activities of the kidnapping and cattle rustling gang that terrorized the state which led to their arrests.

He assured citizens of the state of his command’s determination to flush out criminal elements, adding that those arrested would be charged to court after investigation.
