A woman, who forgave her boyfriend for biting off and causing irreversible damage to her nose in 2017, has finally been killed by him.

According to reports, Oleg Myshadaev, 20, admitted to police that he killed his girlfriend – Alexandra Shaposhnikova, also 20 – with a knife, hammer and billiard cue.

Myshadaev had previously been spared jail after Shaposhnikova begged a judge not to send him to prison for biting off her nose.

However, one year on he went into a vodka-fuelled rage and Alexandra was found dead in the flat where they lived in Saransk, Russia.

Local sources said that she died as a result of head injuries and her body was left in the bathroom for two days.

A hammer, knife and broken cue was found at the crime scene. Five empty vodka bottles were discovered in the flat, where a female friend had been asleep while the attack happened, say reports.

In the morning, Myshadaev told the friend that he and Alexandra had argued, but she left quickly, not realising Alexandra had been killed. A court ordered his detention for two months as a murder case was launched by the Russian Investigative Committee.

In November 2017 he had attacked her at a vodka-fuelled party, punching her in the face and biting off most of her nose.

Myshadaev was spared prison at an earlier hearing after Alexandra begged a judge to let him go.

At a later court hearing, he was described as suffering from ‘uncontrollable anger and jealousy’. Surgeons failed to sew the severed part back on her face, saying the damage was ‘not reversible’. Despite this, she ‘forgave him’ and continued to live with Myshadaev – who she had met at music college where they shared a desk.

Prosecutors demanded a lengthy jail sentence but she told the judge:

‘I have no claims against Oleg. I am asking the court to please not lock him up.’

He was found guilty and given a suspended jail sentence of 18 months. This meant he walked free from court.
