The recently appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha paid a visit to former Vice President and elder statesman, Alex Ekwueme in the London hospital where he is recuperating.
Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja on Monday.
Shehu said that the SGF, who was in London before Dr Ekwueme’s arrival, was received by his wife, Mrs Helen Ekwueme, on behalf of the Ekwueme family.
Recall that chief Ekwueme slumped and collapsed 3 weeks ago. His medical treatment was approved by president Buhari and he was flown abroad for treatment.
Rumours had circulated through the online media last week that Chief Ekwueme, 87 had kicked the bucket. The rumours turned out to be false and the family had come out to declare him alive.
Boss Mustapha indeed confirmed that the octogenarian is alive as he took pictures with his wife.
